人工湿地分为两类: 1) 潜流将将废水带到填充沙子和砾石并有覆盖植被的盆地之下, 2) 自由水流将废水到湿地土壤或有植被的澡泽以上。
配置准则:
潜流系统
- 1:1 – 1:2长宽比
- 0.5 – 0.6 m (1.6 – 2 英尺)深
自由水流系统
- 3:1到5:1的长宽比
- 0.6 – 0.9米(2 – 3英尺)挺水植物
- 1.2 – 1.5米(4 – 5英尺)漂浮植物
湿地平均每天可以处理每加仑水的0.05~0.1平方米的表面积,可处理湿地面积的大小会根据实际现场应用而变化, 例如小型化粪池系统到大型市政设施将会不同。具体植物的选择将取决于美观、硬度和气候等因素。
